Dining Facilities & Unique Cultural Experiences
When you enter MICHI, you will hear the Japanese welcome greeting, "irasshaimase", and if you pass the sushi counter on the way out, the chefs will thank you for your patronage with "arigato gozaimasu", as is the custom in Japan. Also, when you order dinner, your server will offer you a refreshing steamed towel with which to wipe your hands.
MICHI has a seating capacity of 91 which includes tables, the sushi bar, and Japanese style rooms. Regular tables are for casual dining and the sushi bar for those patrons who opt to watch the chefs prepare their sushi selections. For a more relaxed and private dining experience with a traditional atmosphere, you can remove your shoes and go behind the sliding shoji screen doors where you will be seated on floor cushions. Soft Japanese background music and a relaxed atmosphere are provided by the natural oak construction, earth-tones and simplicity of décor typical of ancient Japanese dining establishments.
